We would like to thank you for being patient over the past few months of construction. 

On May 2-5, 2005, the W. A. Callegari Environmental Center is pleased to resume the biannual Compost Facility Operator Training Course at the composting facility in our newly renovated laboratory and climate controlled classroom.  Please make plans to attend the first of many  trainings that will help make your future in the composting industry a successful one. 

The LSU Agricultural Center, W.A. Callegari Environmental Center conducts  Compost Facility Operator Training Programs each year.

The program includes classroom lectures as well as field training with windrow and aerated static pile composting systems. 

The course is designed to train participants who will manage and operate compost facilities, want to learn the basics of composting, and experience real composting operations. Completion of the course should prepare operators for their state certification.

Early registration is encouraged since the course can accommodate a limited number of students.

Fees include:
Four days of classroom instruction and field work, lunch, refreshments and instructional materials. 

Cost: $350.00 per person
Pre-registration is required.
