APRIL 7-10, 1999 HOLIDAY INN, RUSTON, LOUISIANA
PURPOSE:
Create a Gulf South network of
Land Use Management Professionals and Private Land Use Practitioners to
facilitate the development and transfer of agroforestry technology. The
workshop will be presented in two Sessions. Session I is
designed to familiarize Professionals and Practitioners with the basic
agroforestry practices and the economic and environmental benefits for
rural communities. Session II is designed to provide the
management concepts for developing timber-pastures (Silvopastures) that
can increase the productivity and value of small farms.
SESSION I: AGROFORESTRY PRACTICES FOR SMALL FARM MANAGEMENT
